Een van mijn favoriete sites, the verge, heeft een zeer groot en uitgebreid artikel gepost over “Internet marketing”, of hoe mensen op grote schaal worden afgezet door een syndicate (term die de oplichters zelf gebruiken) die hen “advies” verkoopt.
Als je een uurtje tijd vindt om een geweldig artikel te lezen en hallucinante video’s te bekijken, eem absolute aanrader.

Ikea shows “knäppa”: a cardboard digital camera
This Ikea camera made out of Cardboard holds 40 digital photos. You gotta love the “zoom” function and the image stabilisation and the “home” sharing.
This is something i’ve been dreaming of since years: a cheap, simple digital camera without any fuss. Hopefully it goes on sale (or giveaway?) in Belgium as well.

Anthony Hopkins wordt Alfred Hitchcock.
Anthony Hopkins gaat in een biopic over Alfred Hitchcock de hoofdrol spelen en de eerste foto’s staan online.
De film komt ergens in 2013 uit, zal (verassend!) Hitchock heten, zal ook verder Helen Mirren Scarlett Johansson (als Janet Leigh) en Jessica Biel bevatten. Verassend is wel de regisseur Sacha Gervasi (lichtjes bekend van de rockumentary Anvil! The Story of Anvil en als scenarist van The terminal ).
Ook komt er BBC film, met minder bekende namen zoals Toby Jones en Sienna Miller. Deze heet “The Girl” en zal eerder focusen op de spanning tussen Hitchcock en de actrice van The Birds, Tippi Hedren.

Amatorski is releasing a remix album and needs artwork.
A nice initiative from amatorski, who are going to release a remix album of their magnificent album ’tbc’ (which can be bought pretty cheap at bandcamp ). They are asking to ‘remix’ their cover for this new album.
We are happy to announce the release of a remix album, one year after the release of our album ’tbc’.
Quite soon after our album came out, a couple of artists and friends asked if they could make a remix of one of the tbc songs. We were really flabbergasted by the quality of the remixes and decided to make a complete remix album. Every track from the original album has been reworked.
We thought it would be a good idea to also have the original artwork remixed for the new release. Therefore, we decided to organise an artwork contest.
Let’s see what I can can come up with… Deadline is may 11th.
